Born in Madrid, content creator Celina Alvarado AKA Bombonia, worked in traditional media for over 10 years as a producer and director for advertising, music videos, and on-air promotion for TV, working in the launching of the prestigious network Canal+ España among others. At the turn of the new millennium she moved to New York where she has also directed film campaigns and styled 2 long features before getting in the Interactive Telecommunications Program, earning a Masters degree at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Since then Celina uses technology to dig into the relationship between humans and technology. Her most popular art project, Try Me, a tee that tweets the meaning of hugs, has been shown in New York, Seoul, and Tokyo gathering a fun buzz in the social media. She also photographs aliens, does live VJ sessions, and makes strange video pieces.
Celina makes her living as an information architect and user experience designer and as a professor at Carlos III University in Madrid, Spain where she moved back in 2015.
